Welcome to Nettra! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Nettra's website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
By creating an account, accessing, or using Nettra, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
Nettra is an offline-first personal finance and networth tracking Progressive Web App (PWA) that allows users to:
- Track financial assets, accounts, and investments
- Record income, expenses, and transfer transactions
- Organize transactions with categories and subcategories
- Monitor networth and financial health
- Optionally sync data with personal Google Sheets
The Service is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use.
3.1 Account Creation
You may use Nettra without creating an account. However, enabling Google Sheets sync requires authentication with a Google account.
3.2 Account Security
If you connect a Google account, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
3.3 Accurate Information
You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you enter into the Service. Nettra is not responsible for errors in data entry or financial calculations based on incorrect input.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, accounts, or systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use any automated means (bots, scripts) to access the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the Service to track finances for unlawful activities
5.1 Local Data Storage
Your financial data is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB. We do not have access to this data.
5.2 Google Sheets Sync
When you enable Google Sheets sync, your data is transmitted directly to YOUR Google Drive. We do not store your financial data on our servers during this process.
5.3 Data Backup
You are solely responsible for backing up your data. We recommend enabling Google Sheets sync as a backup mechanism. Clearing browser data will delete your local financial records.
5.4 Privacy Policy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Nettra and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our explicit written permission.
Your financial data entered into the Service remains your property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this data solely to provide the Service to you.
7.1 Not Financial Advice
IMPORTANT: Nettra is a financial tracking tool only. It does NOT provide financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice. You should consult with qualified professionals for financial planning and advice.
7.2 Accuracy of Information
While we strive to provide accurate calculations and functionality, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information or calculations provided by the Service. You are responsible for verifying all financial information.
7.3 Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services (Google Sheets, Google OAuth). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of these third-party services.
7.4 "As Is" Service
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Nettra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses
- Nettra shall not be liable for any financial losses resulting from errors in data entry, calculations, or financial decisions made based on the Service
- Nettra shall not be liable for any data loss resulting from clearing browser data, device failure, or other technical issues
- Our total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed $100 USD or the amount you paid to use the Service in the past 12 months (whichever is greater)
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nettra and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your access to or use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Any financial decisions made based on data tracked in the Service
10.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have connected a Google account, you may disconnect it through the app settings or revoke access through your Google Account settings.
10.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason.
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Your local data will remain on your device until you clear it. Any synced data in your Google Sheets will remain in your Google Drive.
Nettra incorporates open-source software components. These components are licensed under their respective open-source licenses, which are available in the app's source code repository.
Your use of these open-source components is governed by their respective licenses, not these Terms.
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Nettra operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property disputes.
13.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nettra regarding the Service.
13.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
13.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
13.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
